New members of the Institute must register with the library and receive library use instructions. After registration the library is permanently accessible to MPI-CBG staff. For more information please check the library intranet page.

Our library

• is open 24/7
• acquires, collects, archives and provides access to scientific information in all publication and media formats related to the research activities of the institute
• provides access to electronic information worldwide (e-books, e-journals, databases, etc.)
• provides fast article ordering and information services
• collects the MPI-CBG publications data and maintains the Publications Database--The publication data is uploaded daily to the homepages of our research groups
• provides information about Open Access and Copyright law (e.g. information regarding article processing charges)
• provides advice regarding literature searches, databases, and bibliometrics
• has competent, friendly, skilled and user-oriented staff for daily support requirements, offers flexible services based on user needs, and is the contact point for all question related to literature and information
• provides 16 fully equipped reading cubicles an 18 reading desks which allow quiet and focused working
