Funding for frontier research

Prestigious ERC Advanced Grant to Marino Zerial

The European Research Council (ERC) announced the awarding of its prestigious Advanced Grants to 277 senior researchers. Among them is Marino Zerial, Director and Research Group Leader at the MPI-CBG with his project proposal "Rules of self-organization and reengineering of liver tissue". Congratulations!

In total, out of the 277 successful grants, 10 went to Max Planck researchers. The funding, worth in total €647 million, enables senior researchers based in Europe to  pursue  their  most  promising  ideas  and  carry  out  frontier  research  with  potentially ground-breaking  impact  on  science  and society beyond.
