MPI-CBG goes green! As of last Friday, four brand new bikes are part of the MPI-CBG vehicle fleet for employees. The bikes are intended for short-term use and short-distance mobility between different institutes on the campus and in Dresden. Also, for newcomers and guest scientists, those bikes will be a great way to move around Dresden.
The MPI-CBG business bikes are mainly sponsored by the Techniker Krankenkasse, the Deutsche Bank (branch Prager Straße), and the Freie Finanzplanung Dresden with each sponsoring 800 Euros. The Leipzig-based insurance company MARTENS & PRAHL contributed 200 Euros.
The arrival of the bikes was celebrated with a fun bike race at the MPI-CBG. Four teams of six relay-raced the new institute bikes between the front entrance and the guesthouse.
