On 28 May 2016, during the Dresden Music Festival, all of Dresden's musicians, both amateur and professional, are invited to make music in the city center of Dresden. The accordion ensemble Akkamerata will travel through time and space at the MPI-CBG with a diverse program ranging from past to present, from Russia to Argentina.
For their concert in the MPI-CBG Auditorium, Akkamerata will present music by 20 accordions, violin, piano, djembe and a typewriter. Various other venues in Dresden are filled with music presenting the results of week-long rehearsals: one day, one motto, many exceptional places... and the entire city makes music.
