During the traditional cleaning of the Elbe meadows on April 12th, hundreds of Dresden citizens collected the trash from the meadows. A team of 15 from the MPI-CBG was part of the cleaning for the first time this year. With gloves, trash bags, and the slogan ‘Max Plitz Planck’ (a pun, meaning ‘super clean’) the helpers found bottle caps, broken glass, plastic trash, and debris from New Years Eve parties. The spring-cleaning took three hours after which everything was super clean – ‘plitz planck’.
Thanks to everyone who joined the cleaning!
